How We Are Keeping Our Patients Safe in The Time of The Pandemic
While COVID-19 has changed our lives in many ways, we are committed to making our clinic safe for visits. We want to ensure our patients’ and staff’s health, wellness, comfort, and safety are our top priorities.
Here are some of the measures that we implement:
Safe Scheduling and Workflow Physical therapy usually requires in-person appointments and procedures. While this has always been the case, the coronavirus pandemic has necessitated the need for some changes. We have considered several safety options for patients to enter the clinic and await their appointments. Telehealth is now available. This is the safest way for you to get your physical therapy within your home.
Mask is a Must We require both our staff and patients to wear masks before entering the clinic and strict sanitation protocols are important. Hand sanitizers are available at the entrance and several other locations within the clinic. Everyone is required to wash and sanitize their hands.
Screening We screen all the patients for COVID-19 symptoms before entering the clinic. Each person will be scanned and we use specialized tools, such as a non-touch thermometer, to screen the temperature and a pulse oximeter to check for oxygen saturation.
Workplace Distancing The number of patients allowed in the clinic has been reduced to meet the 6 feet distancing. When you visit our clinic, you will see markers, such as lines on the floors in both the waiting and treatment areas. Furniture and machines also have been arranged in a way that supports social distancing. Patients sitting in chairs are also separated by the same distance.
Other Measures We have taken additional measures to ensure that our facility is clean and safe for all. We make sure that all our machines and equipment are sanitized always. Common exercise tools which include treadmills, cardio, bikes, cable columns, and reformers are cleaned and sanitized from time to time. Areas including waiting rooms, restrooms, and treatment rooms are also cleaned regularly focusing more on touched surfaces like handrails, armrests, and doorknobs.
